York Holds Off Late Rally by Hinsdale Central

Second half surge by Red Devils not enough to overcome Dukes.

The York Dukes jumped out to an early lead Friday night and managed to hang on after Hinsdale Central mounted a comeback effort late in the second half to win 41-27.

"We started fast and started real strong, and it was great. And then we came out in the second half and did absolutely nothing, which was terrible," Dukes head coach Bill Lech said.

Dukes runningback Ken Boesenberg had a big game, catching balls out of the backfield and running the ball hard for tough yards.

"I ran for some hard yards, and while the defense is focused on our wide recievers it gives me a chance to step up and do what I've got to do," Boesenberg said.
