Foley's dream TD highlights uneven rout

FOOTBALL - There isn't a defensive player around who hasn't thought of what it would be like to score a touchdown.

Hinsdale Central senior linebacker Pat Foley had a couple of chances last season after intercepting two passes. On one of them, the 6-foot, 207 pound Foley was tackled only two yards shy of the end zone.

A third opportunity arose during a 28-0 win for the Red Devils (1-1) over Proviso East (0-2) in a West Suburban Conference crossover on Saturday.

Foley was not to be denied of his dream this time. He picked off a pass and returned it 36 yards to the end zone without being touched.

It was the fourth and final TD for the Red Devils with 8 minutes, 29 seconds to play in the game.
